Frustration:(

Kindle isn't biting! I need to make my bookmarks and get Mythica out there...I am happy however that the process of Kindle is free. Could you imagine my disappointment if it cost me my first born? I attended a seminar on self publishing the other night. Some things I knew, some things I learned. It all comes down to spreading the word -- so bookmarks here I come:)

Kindle

Well I uploaded on Kindle. One thing I will complain about right now is the formatting. I spent all day making sure that the formatting was perfect for Kindle doing everything they said for me to do like 'no tabs' make sure you use program to tab overs. However, once I viewed my book I found that all my computerised tabs werent what they were supposed to be. So I took them out! Sorry those of you who will be upset at this but it just looks better now on Kindle. Before it was all over the place but when I went back into my word program to try and fix it was all so lovely there...Well, I read on Kindle that Word doesnt always translate properly formatting wise....Thanks for telling me now! After ten hours of work! So bear with the outcome please. Its still a great read. Hopefully one day its out in print and you will see what it actually looks like!!!

Day One

Ok. So I am done writing Mythica and by tomorrow afternoon (April 20th 2012) Mythica will be able to be purchased on Kindle. What a journey! Three years almost to the day. It was tuff but I just kept going. Finally when I realised I couldn't make Mythica any better I shelled it out for an editor. Then after a while I figured why not get a cover made? So I did. And now I am swallowing my fears and self publishing! For those of you looking on doing the same, I say go for it. I must have received almost 80 rejection letters from top notch agents before I thought: Damn the Man! And went in search of Indie Publishers. This costs too by the way...thankfully I came across KDP on Kindle and voila - it's free and such a huge platform for people to self publish their work. Mythica will be on Kobo too once they get self publishing on it (I'm on waiting list). So please read my debut novel and stay tuned for the rest in the series.
